Day One: December 1st!

So I'm going to be starting this new job at a Green Non-Profit. We're doing A LOT of stuff with every (I think) federal agency to cut down on their impact. Super excited. It's all pretty basic right now with information on 'energy vampires' and their impact on our energy use and costs incurred. I'm being brought on to help expand, both the website and the ideas behind how we can help the government lessen their environmental impact on our Earth.

While I've got lots of ideas, I wanna know from all of you what simple things you think would be beneficial to our governments efficiency (and I mean energy efficiency here folks!) or what you would like to know to cut down your OWN personal impact!

...Every little bit counts! What may seem tiny and insignificant to you will add up exponentially if we are all aware!...

Uptown Hip Hop United Presents...

December 6th @ Haydees The CO-OP Presents another event in their concert series.

This coming Saturday they've got three additional artists from the D.M.V. area performing alongside Konshens and his State of Mind: Wordsmith, Lyrik and Sonix.


Also this evening Konshens and his State of Mind band will be performing selections from his new album, THE EVOLUTION. Be there while he breaks down and performs his songs for you in a fashion similar to Unplugged.

This week at Haydees we've got an open mic going on. The best of the DMV come out to perform here, so if you are one of those people I'm talking about, BE THERE! If you want to see them performing their music, BE THERE!

Artists come early, sign up and get your spot starting at 8pm. If we've got more time, you'll be able to perform more than just one song!

She So Street

The new Single is out!

"She so Street" feat. Rane (WPGC) from Konshens' upcoming (sophomore project titled " Konshens and his State of Mind: The Evolution") album. The release date is slated for December 20. This project is very unique with regards to the genre of music that Konshens does…HIP HOP! Konshens has constructed his very own 7-piece band that he performs with live playing the music; this project has been recorded with his band. SO for those that appreciate live instrumentation, good meaningful lyrics then this one is for you!

We are having a release party on December 6 in which I will keep all of you informed in the event that anyone wants to attend.

The single "She so Street" is a story about a young man who gives all he has for this female even to the most extreme limits. Only to find out that the female he loves is actually the streets. And no matter how faithful one may be to the streets the streets never reciprocate that faithfulness and love. We hope this song sparks a thought of change in those young men hugging the block believing that's all they have. Not realizing that when they are locked up and/or killed as a result the cycle continues. Listen to the lyrics!
